Some 250 compliance professionals nationwide sat in November for the ABA Institute of Certified Bankers' Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager exam. The CRCM certification is designed to formally recognize regulatory compliance professionals in the financial services industry who meet established standards of knowledge and competence. "The strong demand for the CRCM designation clearly indicates the increasing demand for highly skilled and competent compliance professionals in the field," said Carolyn Hagner, CRCM Advisory Board chair and vice-president at Chicago-based BMO Harris Bank. "The CRCM validates one's knowledge and experience, which helps financial institutions mitigate compliance risk."
