Those are the watchwords of the 2009 ABA Government Relations Summit March 30-April 1 in Washington. It's our way of urging you to get engaged and participate in the work of your association-and the future of your bank. This is a vitally important year for the banking industry and for the economy, and your presence in Washington is urgently needed. We all know the condition of our national economy. And we are learning more every day about how the new Administration, the new Congress, the banking committees, and the regulators are going to deal with it. As bankers and as the economic leaders of our communities, we have a responsibility to help the politicians and the regulators get it right. It's up to us. It may be the ultimate grassroots activity.
