Fall and winter often bring various human resources challenges, but one shared by all community bankers comes wrapped with family, employee fairness, and other emotional issues. This is the matter of who gets to take off on days like the Friday after Thanksgiving, the day before or after Christmas or New Year's, and sometimes the whole period in between the two winter holidays.rnYou can be Father Christmas all year to the staff, but make the wrong move here and suddenly you're Scrooge. A banker from Ohio wrote to "Pass the Aspirin" stating that, "This may not seem like such a big deal compared to many other issues facing the industry, but it sure matters here. What are other hanks doing?"
