The ATM is the world's most trusted banking channel. Up to 80 percent of all transactions take place at the ATM. In fact, consumers so trust the ATM that rarely does anyone even bother to count the cash dispensed. Although millions of self-service transactions take place without incident, it is imperative as an industry that we maintain the unique trust consumers have placed in the channel. One only needs to heed the daily news headlines to know there are growing issues surrounding security within the financial services industry - issues which could cause customers to question the legitimacy of their bank's ability to provide a truly secure channel.
