It's not." — From The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss Someone once said there are three ways to get something done in life: Do it yourself, hire someone else to do it or forbid your children to do it. We have young children, so I can see some wisdom in that third choice. But I'm convinced the solution to every challenge that faces banking today resides with all of us working together on behalf of our industry. The best means for focusing that banker involvement is through the American Bankers Association, which remains the one national trade association that seeks to represent every bank—big, small, urban and rural.
