Asia Global Crossing, or at least its network of undersea cables, may be worth more dead than alive. As many as 20 investors, ranging from telecommunications companies to investment funds, are considering whether to buy the troubled company. One potential buyer has already proposed a price of $250 million for Asia Global Crossing, which has laid and operates a telecommunications network that stretches more than 18,600 miles and links seven Asian markets and the U.S. Asia Global Crossing's management cites such interest as evidence both of their company's viability and that Asia's telecommunications market is healthier than in the rest of the world.
