The new RFU630 UHF RFID system from Sick is already achieving high levels of performance in challenging factory environments and overcoming the problems of poor signals caused, for example, by close proximity to heavy metal machinery and plant (Figure 1). The RFU630 read/writer avoids signal reflection and distortion in "high noise" conditions and is therefore ideal for factory, production or logistics environments. The RFU630 operates with high accuracy where barcode and other part marking is masked, covered by dirt and paint or not line-of-sight.
