The Leaders Of The Pack seminar saw top tier industry representatives both from Australia and overseas share their expertise, kicking off with international keynote speaker Christian Dreszig. Dreszig, who is head of marketing for environmental certification at Bluesign Technologies, presented from Switzerland, touching on current market needs, challenges for the textile industry and the difference between eco labels and eco standards. Dreszig explained the Bluesign system as a solution for environmental health & safety and chemicals management that used a holistic approach to reduce the environmental impact of the entire textile supply chain, providing an efficient solution for chemical suppliers, textile and accessories manufacturer as well as fashion brands.
