Consumers are drawn to the Sahara Bloom collection because of the unique prints offered. Later, when they handle the garments, designer Melissa Yeong claims that they are astounded by the feel of the bamboo fabric.rn"That's when the education process begins - when I tell them what these garments are made from," Yeong says. The concept behind the label is to develop a collection that does not 'isolate' people who are concerned for the environment by the style, fit and colour of the garments. Rather, she seeks to create a mainstream look instead of a fringe style. "It's important that people in the mainstream are reached," she says, noting that those who are eco-conscious are already actively seeking out products that are less damaging to the environment.
