Australian manufacturing operations expanded in February, with the textile sector reporting the second largest growth amongst those surveyed by the Australian Industry Group-PricewaterhouseCoopers Australian PMI.rnThis represents a turnaround from the January index, which showed textile production shrinking. However, clothing and footwear production continued to shrink in February, along with other the consumer-related sectors such as food and beverages, as higher interest rates and fading fiscal stimulus started to bite.
