Charles Parsons is using new finishes to create better quality and longer lasting fabrics for direct dye sublimation digital printing.rn"We're using finishes to extend UV resistance as well as to resist mildew and moisture," says Gary Di Losa, Charles Parsons print media technical product specialist.rn"These finishes set us apart and extend the life of outdoor banners offering greater value."rnHe claims that the textiles used for soft signage are now capable of lasting as long as PVC alternatives. And there are other advantages: the textiles offer a 'greener' alternative and can be easily transported by simply folding. Their lighter weight compared to PVC is also an advantage for installation of temporary fencing, increasingly popular for events like fun runs.
