摘要

The conference was hosted by the Australasian Hydrographic Society (AHS) on behalf of the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies (IFHS). This event is hosted by the AHS every four years and is a major conference for the Australasian hydrographers and members of associated professions. It is generally the only event where many members from Australia, New Zealand and the Southwest Pacific get together. Hence, it is not only a professional event but very much a social time where memories and long stories are shared. The program comprised eight concurrent sessions over the three days. Each day commenced with a brief session or address and was then followed by two keynote addresses. Delegates were then able to move into the concurrent session of choice.
