By introducing a surface that promotes turbulence it has been possible for Heatex to manufacture a heat exchanger that needs less material and thereby gives the customer a more cost effective performance. The heat exchanger is, at least from an industrial point of view, possible to calculate and predict in terms of efficiency and pressure drop and the results can be repeated. Tests both in laboratories and at customer sites show that the fouling of the heat exchanger does not increase even though the turbulence of the airstream increases.
