There have been increased complaints from public and construction industry sources that current standard insulation between residential apartment rooms is resulting in apartments constructed, which do not meet consumer expectations. The cause of 'noisy apartments' is due to a combination of: 1. Construction regulation below best practice. 2. Poor construction and installation. Most serious complaints, which result in litigation, are due to the noise through walls and floors and soil and waste pipes.
