In 1996 I picked up the topic "Displacement Ventilation" during the Big Picture Cibse Conference in Sydney and I stated a definition of the possibilities and limits of its use. Today I would like to present to you further possibilities of use in the commercial sector, namely the use of displacement ventilation in theatres, lecture halls and sports centres. Industry is a further very interesting area. Basically all areas where pollutants are emitted into the surrounding air are typical fields of application (like processes causing chips, foundries, paint shops etc). The target is not to mix up the pollutants with the surrounding air and to protect human beings as well as the product.
