If you are like me you're probably still finding it hard to believe that the much heralded year 2000 is at an end. Global Millennium celebrations ensured that the year 2000 started with a bang like never before. I'm glad to say that from an HVAC&R perspective, AIRAH's year has lived up to the hype and as I come to the end of my presidential term, I decided to take the opportunity to look back on some of its highlights. Accreditation stands out as our biggest accomplishment of the year. In just 12 months we have set up, tested, revised and offered accreditation to our members. This is quite an achievement given the need for constant dialogue with key HVAC&R professionals to make sure that we really got it right. To be of real benefit to AIRAH and its members, our Accreditation program must be the one essential professional qualification for HVAC&R. The badge of quality that sets us apart from others in our increasingly competitive industry.
