This paper attempts to compile a check-list of those items, relevant to the control and operation of air conditioning systems in tropical climates, which might otherwise be overlooked by persons whose experience is restricted to plants in more temperate zones. It concentrates therefore on what is unique to plants in the tropics or strongly accentuated in them. It does not include what might be considered to be common to plants in any climatic zone at all. The listing includes facets of system design and control, control hardware, design decisions and, in addition, lists briefly those items pertinent to air conditioning design in the tropics which might not rightly be designated as specifically "control" topics but which are nonetheless uniquely "tropical". These additional points deal mianly with the operation of the plant.
