Turns out that late in June and early July we witnessed the landing of two telling body blows against the future of continued successful home ownership in our United States. One body blow was the move by Fed Chairman Alan (Prosperity's Plunderer) Greenspan and his ilk raising interest rates another quarter percent for the ninth time since June last year. The other body blow was the unconscionable action by a one vote majority of the U.S. Supreme Court giving a town in Connecticut permission to seize privately owned homes so they could be demolished to make room for someone else's privately owned businesses! Adding insult to injury, the Federal Reserve also continued to announce that more interest rate increases are on the way, 'at a pace that is likely to be measured.' That statement, as usual, begs the question, 'Are they going to measure us into the same kind of national recession which they measured us into in 2001 after raising interest rates seven times in a row?'
