With new technologies no other car has offered before, the 2018 E-Class ensures greater care for drivers. For instance, the vehicle's PRE-SAFE Sound primes the ears of passengers of the vehicle during a crash. Just before a crash, it emits safe "pink noise" via the audio system to pre-trigger drivers' ears' natural defense against the loud noises of an accident. Another industry first is PRE-SAFE Impulse Side, which helps drivers prepare for an impending side impact. By rapidly inflating the front-seat bolster, it nudges drivers further from an intrusion and helps reduce the forces of impact.
