The first students have been embarking on a journey of scientific exploration at the teaching laboratories, research space, computer facilities and simulation suites in the University of Hertfordshire's new £50m BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) Excellent Science Building. Constructed in the place of the outdated CP Snow Building, the landmark facilities on College Lane are now home to the School of Pharmacy and the School of Life Sciences. Infrastructure improvements were also included as part of the university's 2020 Estates Vision programme that aims to transform the campus.
