Certain characteristics in their early years may seem to forecast how they will develop in their later years. (The arrangement of the names saddened Orville Wright. Although he no longer had any official connection with the Wright Aeronautical Corporation, he believed it should have been called the Wright-Curtiss Corporation, in deference to his and brother Wilbur's orecedence in the field.)
