UK air traffic services provider NATS is taking a 10 percent equity stake in Aireon, the developer of a space-based ADS-B surveillance system, the organizations announced last month. NATS, which is investing $69 million into Aireon, is laying plans for introducing the technology over the North Atlantic with operational trials to begin in 2019, the UK service further noted.
