A jet dragster built with the help of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) aviation maintenance and aerospace engineering students is gearing up for a 2009 racing season that already features 24 major venues in the U.S. Designed and constructed in 2004, the racer set a top speed of more than 300 mph with driver Elaine Larsen during last year's EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis.
