TAP Maintenance & Engineering Brazil recently received FAA certification for heavy maintenance on the A3 30 and A3 40 aircraft. This approval facilitates TAP M&E Portugal's plans to share Airbus heavy maintenance at its Lisbon repair center with its Brazilian affiliate. A member of the Airbus MRO network, TAP M&E Brazil already has FAA approval for maintenance on the A300-B4, A300-600 and A310 models. And the company has had FAA, EASA and Brazilian Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil (ANAC) approval to overhaul most Boeing models for some time.
