Now called Bii, the company has lead the way in changing airline attitudes toward bearing repair. If you stepped into a time machine and went back a mere 5 or 10 years, you'd find the average commercial engine overhaul shop or airline maintenance department typically throwing away main and accessory engine bearings rather than sending them out for reconditioning. At that point in history there was still resistance in many organizations to bearing repair based on the unfounded fear that somehow a reputably repaired bearing represented a greater risk during a given cycle time than a new one.
