The popular concept is that aircraft technicians work in warm, cozy hangars so educational material about cold stress never arrives at the airport But aircraftrntechnicians have cold exposures in both outdoor and indoor environments. Hangars are poorly heated and drafty. Aircraft repair often takes the technician outdoors to the flight line with the same cold exposure as other outdoor workers.
