摘要

Smartphones, tablets, e-readers and laptops are sparking a revolution, changing passenger expectations and prompting airlines and manufacturers to rethink inflight entertainment (IFE) and connectivity. But carriers will not do away with seatback entertainment systems entirely— or at least not yet. "We are seeing an increasing takeup of passengers using their personal electronic devices, their smartphones and tablets," says Jon Norris, senior director of integrated solutions at Panasonic Avionics Corp. "We see those devices augmenting the passenger experience, with the syncing of devices to the seatback screens, adding to what an airline can give to a passenger.
