Alessandro Profumo (see photo) has been named by the Italian government to become chief executive of the Leonardo aerospace and defense group. He succeeds Mauro Moretti, whose three-year contract is ending. Profumo was chief executive of Italian bank UniCredit and chairman of the Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank. Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance holds a 30% share in Leonardo.
