Singapore's ST Aerospace is past the halfway mark in fitting new interiors to more than 20 Boeing 767-300s for Air Canada Rouge. In 2011, the company added this activity, which requires specialist engineering, to its basic air-frame overhaul work, an increasingly challenging business in high-wage Singapore. Determined to move further up the value chain, the company hopes that in 2017 or 2018 it will be fitting customers' aircraft with seats of its own design and manufacture.
