You know things are becoming tougher when a key supplier to Boeing publicly labels the aircraft maker a deadbeat. But in what should have been a run-of-the-mill quarterly teleconference July 25, that is essentially what Rockwell Collins Chairman, President and CEO Kelly Ortberg did when a financial analyst asked about the effects of PFS 2.0, the second iteration of Boeing's Partnership for Success (PFS) supply chain squeeze. Under PFS 2.0, Boeing is asking suppliers to accept longer payment cycles. In turn, providers like Rockwell increasingly are seeing the scenario hit their bottom lines.
