The airline industry has witnessed tremendous change in recent years. Through mergers and acquisitions, four large carriers dominate the U.S. But given the continued fragmentation of the sector in the rest of the world, consolidation overall remains a slow process, and aircraft manufacturers have had time to adapt to the new marketplace setup for approximately half of their direct customers.
