Did Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, American Airlines and/ or Southwest Airlines collude to constrain capacity in a bid to support higher ticket prices? The revelation that the U.S. Justice Department is investigating whether the "Big Four" colluded is an interesting twist, given that the department went along with a massive consolidation of the U.S. airline industry.
