First-class may be the most prestigious cabin onboard long-haul aircraft, but market shifts and product upgrades have positioned business-class to become the most important part of the aircraft-not just for airlines, but for seat manufacturers as well. That market is about to change again. For some time, B/E Aerospace and Zodiac have controlled the segment by winning most key campaigns and keeping well ahead of other niche players. But Recaro Aircraft Seating is challenging the hold of that cozy duopoly with its new lie-flat seat CL6710. The seat will be presented for the first time at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), April 8-10, in Hamburg.
