He mentions that having the SR-71 "out of the bag" prevents plausible de-niability when it comes to overflights of other countries' airspace as one of the reasons why any SR-71 replacement has been kept in shrouds. If so, what is the purpose of the SR-72? Is it yet another smokescreen being put in place to keep an operational aircraft away from prying eyes?
