Airbus's decision to boost narrow-body production signals the beginning of the end of the commercial air transport downturn, but company officials and industry analysts warn there will be a lag before order activity rebounds significantly.rnThe Airbus move to bring single-aisle production back to 36 aircraft per month is to take effect in December and reverses a decision taken a year ago, when output was reduced slightly to 34 units as of last October. Wide-body production, which has been moderated slightly-going from 8.5 aircraft per month to around eight (although the rate dips to seven units during some periods)-is not being readjusted this time around.
