Guy Hachey, the president of Canada's Bombardier Aerospace, is surprisingly candid when asked what keeps him awake at night. The first concern he names is the ability of a key supplier, Aviation Industries of China, to deliver high-quality center fuselages in large volumes for his company's new Cseries jet.rnBombardier's future as a major player in the commercial aircraft industry could very well rest on its ability to pull off the $3.5-billion Cseries development. The aircraft, offered in two configurations that range from 110-145 seats, will be loaded with state-of-the-art technologies, including a next-generation Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engine, composite wings and fly-by-wire navigation. Scheduled to enter service in late 2013, it is targeting a market segment that overlaps the Embraer 195 at the bottom and the Airbus A319 and Boeing 737-700 at the top.
