Restructuring the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program may have given Lockheed Martin more time to complete development, but flight testing must still pick up the pace to meet the new schedule.rnFlying is accelerating as aircraft join the program, but here at the U.S.rnNavy's test center, where four short-takeoff-and-landing (Stovl) F-35Bs are based, there are signs that staying on track may not be as easy as it looks. After delays of up to a year, delivery of the remaining test aircraft may be within sight, but generating flights continues to be a challenge.
