Analysts are surprisingly upbeat about prospects for satellite ra-dio but continue to voice con- cern about the impact of equity and credit collapses on second-generation mobile satphone service.rnThe fortunes of satellite radio took a turn for the worse last month when Sirius XM had to be rescued from bankruptcy by Liberty Media. That was barely six months after a merger designed to save the company from the collapse in the U.S. auto industry and the sagging economy. The friendly takeover followed a decision in October by satellite radio pioneer WorldSpace to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
