Northrop Grumman plans to validate swept-wing laminar flow control,a key technology for its pro-posed high-altitude SensorCraft reconnaissance un-manned aerial vehicle concept,on the Scaled Com-posites WhiteKnightOne (WK1) carrier aircraft.SensorCraft is a U.S.Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) technology project to develop a high-flying vehicle that could provide enhanced levels of intelligence,surveillance and re-connaissance (ISR) for the next decade.A major focus for the study is on aerodynamic and structural efficiency to ac-complish long range and sustained presence.
