Europe's leading low fare carriers, Ry anair and EasyJet, are betting on significant traffic growth, but there are signs that the next 12 months or longer could be turbulent. One of the biggest question marks hanging over the low-fare carriers is how they will withstand the high cost of fuel. Ryanair is in a strong position this fiscal year, with 90% of demand hedged at $65 per barrel, but those financial protections largely run out in March.
