Japan has issued two requests for information for intelligence and electronic warfare aircraft, one for the navy and one probably for the air force. Extensive involvement by domestic manufacturers is explicitly required for one of the requirements and is likely for the other. The Mitsubishi Aircraft MRJ regional jet is an obvious candidate for both missions.
