More new models and continued growth in executive shuttle services and premium charter offerings―aimed at well-heeled former Concorde travelers―highlighted this year's European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (Ebace), as manufacturers and operators confirmed recovery is underway. Dassault Aviation, which is already working on its new ultralong-range 7X, revealed plans here to build an upgraded model of its Falcon 900C intended to fill a niche between its two long-range products ―the six-passenger 2000EX and eight-seat 900EX. Called the 900DX and equipped with the same 5,000-lb.-thrust Honeywell TFE731-60 turbofan that powers the 900EX, the new model will fly 200 naut. mi. farther than the 900C, with shorter "hot/high" takeoff distance and a faster climb, despite carrying nearly 300 lb. less fuel.
