Leon van de Pas has been appointed CEO of Unifly, whose unmanned traffic management platform is designed to connect authorities with pilots to integrate drones into airspace safely. He succeeds Marc Kegelaers. Van de Pas has helped grow both scaleups and multinationals such as Philips, Gemalto, Tele Atlas and HERE Technologies. HeliOffshore has appointed Tim Rolfe CEO of the helicopter-safety organization, of which he is a founding member. Rolfe was Bristow Helicopters' director of safety and global safety assurance; a helicopter pilot in offshore, search-and-rescue, military support and other operations; and a board member of several Bristow companies.
