Tenzing Communications Inc. is teaming with Verizon Airfone Inc. to take advantage of Verizon's installed seat-back telephone base on commercial aircraft to provide passengers with a laptop e-mail-and-news-portal link. Dubbed JetConnect, the system has been tested since mid-May on two United Airlines 767s and is to be released for passenger use in mid-June, according to Verizon Vice President Mike Kuehn.
