Portugal wants to position itselfon the map of nations capableof developing and producing anaircraft in-country.Aerospace industry cluster AED Portugal hopes development of thetwin-turboprop, 19-seat, ATL-100 inconjunction with Brazil’s Desaer willhelp further strengthen the Europeancountry’s burgeoning aerospace sectorand position it as an attractivepotential partner for future programsin Europe and Latin America. A firstflight is planned for 2023.
