Regional air mobility startup Electra has unveiled its first product, a hybrid-electric eight-seater designed to fly 500 mi., with takeoff and landing distances of 100 ft. United Airlines has placed firm orders with Boom for 15 Overture supersonic airliners, plus options for another 35, for service entry by 2029 (page 16). Boeing plans to evaluate 20 technologies this year on an Alaska Airlines-owned 737-9 under the eighth round of its long-running ecoDemonstrator program.
