With all the flurry in the aerospace community over all-encompassing Web sites for parts ordering, one of the industry's prime bushing manufacturers says, "Thanks, but no thanks." He prefers the direct approach. Advanced Air of West Palm Beach, Fla., specializes in bushings for landing gear, supplying major independent and manufacturers' overhaul centers throughout the world. Chairman Steve Bell hasn't turned his back on Web-based ordering. Far from it, he is encouraging his customers to undertake it because the Internet allows him to present a database and pictures to his customers that make ordering easier and less time-consuming for him because there's less paperwork.
