Boeing officials have made some design changes to the Delta Ⅲ launcher aimed at ensuring successful deployment of the vehicle's second-stage extendible nozzle under marginal operating conditions. The modifications resulted from a test series conducted at the U.S. Air Forces Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) following the failed launch attempt of the first Delta Ⅲ booster last year.
