You have had quite a career. What is the significance of this latest chapter, leading Mitchell College's Board of Trustees? What aspect of this new role excites you the most? In today's world we all will have several transitions. That certainly was true for me. After leaving a PhD program in Physics at Harvard in the late 50's for health reasons, I taught as a part-time Physics faculty member with just my Master's degree for 19 years. I completed my PhD at age 41 and began my full-time career in higher education at that time. My next transition was to move away from full-time teaching into administration. I wanted to have an effect on academe more than just from the classroom and research lab.
