Welcome to the AWIS Magazinel This issue has wellness as its focus. The dictionary defines wellness as "the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal." Even Webster's online reminds us that daily exercise is proven to promote wellness. The media talks of balancing work and family and may ask can women have it all and be happy? Such implies that it might be an either or situation, with the underlying connotation that having it all versus being happy are at different ends of the spectrum.
